Health Volunteers Overseas and ASCP are actively seeking anatomic pathologists and renal pathologists for an opportunity at the University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan. Volunteers would be involved in teaching/training residents and laboratory technicians, acting as a consultant to local pathologists, and working on immunohistochemistry upgrades. Renal pathologists are specifically needed to help start the renal pathology program, including immunofluorescence microscopy.
Opportunities are available year-round. Volunteers are asked to commit a minimum of one month (though longer assignments are always encouraged). Modest housing is provided; however volunteers will need to provide their own airfare and in-country living expenses.
Interested volunteers should contact Elysabeth Stuehrmann at email@example.com for more information.
