ASCP Chief Medical Officer Dan A. Milner, Jr., MD, MSc(Epi), FASCP, will be speaking on the fourth day of the 2018 ASIP Annual Meeting,"Pathobiology at the Cutting Edge:
Disease Mechanisms Driving Prevention, Diagnosis, and Therapy", April 21-25, 2018 in San Diego, California. The meeting will cover a broad diversity of topics highlighting biological and pathological processes and potential targets in diagnosis and prevention and therapy in human disease. Dr. Milner will be speaking during an interactive lunch session “Lunch and Learn: Science, Statistics and Getting It Right.” The session will include an opportunity for participants to review case vignettes featuring common problems in scientific research statistics.
The 2018 ASIP Annual Meeting includes symposia and workshops communicating cutting edge science and translational research, commingled with educational and professional development sessions appealing to trainees and junior faculty. There will be a strong emphasis on neoplasia, inflammation, endothelial and epithelial cell biology, hepatic pathobiology, imaging and fundamental cell biology.
