The ASCP NPQR is offering an easy way to avoid penalties for 2017 CMS reporting through a free
reporting option. The solution is being offered to all pathologists through a CMS-approved Qualified Registry (QR) provided by NPQR’s technology and analytics partner, ArborMetrix. Using this solution, individuals can easily and satisfactorily meet requirements and avoid a 4% loss on their Medicare Part B billing in 2017.
Interested individuals should visit http://www.ascp.org/NPQR/2017
and fill out the sign-up form. Then, complete the simple electronic consent form and select one improvement activity on which to report.
After an individual submits a consent form and improvement activity, ArborMetrix will submit data to CMS on their behalf and provide information on progress. ArborMetrix, which is approved by CMS as a Qualified Registry and supports numerous other Qualified Clinical Data Registries, has extensive MIPS experience. In fact, they successfully submitted data to CMS for more than 20,000 providers in 2016.
By taking advantage of this opportunity now, individuals can avoid the penalty and prepare to participate in NPQR in 2018.
