ASCP Awards: Honoring ASCP Volunteers for their Service, Leadership and Vision

Feb 14, 2018

ASCP members play a vital role in providing patients with the highest level of health care possible. During Member Week, Feb. 12-16, ASCP is asking members to help us recognize the tremendous efforts of our members by nominating a colleague for an ASCP Award.

Each year, ASCP highlights the very best in our professional society through the ASCP Awards, which recognize the individuals who have made outstanding lifelong contributions to the Society and the profession. “ASCP is fortunate to have many esteemed members who dedicate themselves to advancing the field of pathology and laboratory medicine,” said Lee H. Hilborne, MD, MPH, FASCP, DLM(ASCP)CM, Chair of the ASCP Annual Awards Committee. “Through a variety of awards, we celebrate leaders across the profession for their imagination, tenacity and vision.”

ASCP offers ten different awards and is accepting nominations in the following categories:

-          Lifetime Achievement.

-          Mentorship.

-          Management.

-          Education.

-          Service and Contributions to ASCP.

-          Contributions to Molecular Pathology, Immunohematology, and/or Immunopathology.

Awardees receive formal recognition at the ASCP Annual Meeting, plus round-trip travel and lodging, a beautiful commemorative award and a professionally crafted press release for their employer and personal networks. Awardees are also featured in ASCP’s renowned Critical Values publication.

Nominations and applications are due March 16, 2018. Click here to read about the different awards and to nominate a colleague.
